A Square experiences the joys of a 3-Dimensional world for the first time.

Flatland's only irregular-shaped, chromatic legislator is assasinated by order of the president, for defying the law that all citizens of Flatland must be a regular shape and monochromatic.

Flatland's Official Trailer.

Flatland's story centers on A Square, a flat square from the two-dimensional region of Flatland who encounters two worlds foreign to him- Spaceland and Lineland.

Trouble arises when Flatland's disturbed and power hungry president declares war on the neighboring country of Spaceland. A Square's excursions into these radically different regions serves as a vehicle for addressing a slew of timeless social issues. The journey dregs up problems such as governmental control, racial discrimination and intolerance, the persecution and struggle of ideas that defy traditional beliefs, sexism, and disparity between social classes.

Ladd Ehlinger Jr. brings Edwin A. Abbott's 19th century novel Flatland to life in this full length feature film. First released in 2007, Flatland was immediately met with interest and anticipation by audiences and film critics world wide. Film Threat movie critic Phil Hall gives Flatland "5 out of 5 stars" and proclaims "the bold originality and vibrant intelligence that makes "Flatland" a rich cinematic experience. Ehlinger's animation flows brilliantly through realms of multiple dimensions, from the eerie monochrome of Lineland to the wonderfully garish 3-D madness of Spaceland to another previously unconsidered environment that challenges the landscape in the psychedelic trip of "2001: A Space Odyssey" for sheer audacity in the wrap of color and sound." SciFi Movie Page calls it "Wholly original and clever...!"
